ENERGY EFFICIENT FANS AS A STANDARD
LEO FB AND LEO FL water heaters are equipped with fans of maximum electric energy consumption of 280W (in LEO FB 65 – 65 kW of nominal heating power is supplied only at consumption of 280 W of electric power). The use of well-selected motors and fans for air heaters results in significant savings of electric energy, particularly because they are often used, not only for heating, but also to provide air circulation in rooms, so they operate all year long.
M SYSTEM
M system solutions, (at present based on regulators of PWM type) recommended for several years in LEO devices, are used for automatic adjustment of the fans speed to meet current needs. Such a solution is excellent in cooperation with modern boilers with modulating burners. As air temperature reaches the set level, the demand for heating agent quantity decreases. The boiler detects the change and reduces its power which results in consumption of less fuel. M system, apart from reducing energy consumption, increases heat comfort and minimizes the noise of instruments.
Additionally, the total purchase cost of devices in M system is comparable with the standard system.
EC TECHNOLOGY
FLOWAIR made an important step in the heating industry when it introduced EC fans of efficiency level ca. 95% in its products. Achievement of such high efficiency was possible due to the beneficial combination of AC and DC motors: replacement of the commutator with an electronic unit, elimination of skid and reduction of loss with reference to construction. As an example, the use of EC fan in LEO FS heater has resulted in decreased motor power consumption– to a level less than a 60W light bulb.
The biggest advantages in energy saving shall be obtained by use of EC motors in LEO heaters operating in M System.
